Corporate Training

Impro in the Workplace

"Great improvisers are fearless imaginers, powerful performers, expert storytellers, bold leaders, sensitive followers, happy team players and charismatic presenters."*

Does that sound like people you want to work with?

Keep on Talking...

We're not your average communication consultants. We know what we're doing, we know how we're doing it - and we know how to make you do it.

We don't need to rely on fancy vocabulary or obscure research results. We don't need to pretend to be clever about what's obvious.

You're a modern human like us, after all. You don't live in total darkness underneath the sink. Our guess is that you've probably heard more than enough about "communication skills".

You know all about it. But you don't know how to improve. Or maybe you do know, but you don't do it.

That's where we come in. We offer training worthy of its name. And it's fun** too.

What do we know?

Admittedly, we don't work in a normal office during the day. We don't have to come up with ideas that have lasting influence on hundreds, maybe thousands of people. We don't present facts and figures in front of people who might be our superiors.

That's exactly the point.

We're on the outside looking in. We're offering something which can't be found in the business world.

Credentials

Over the years we have lead workshops - in both English and in French - for well established multinational companies such as AGF, Alstom, Applicon IT-Consulting, Aventis, Axa, Linklaters, Barclays Bank, Biogen, Bouygues Telecom, Decision Point International, France Telecom, General Electric, Givenchy, Heineken,  International Herald Tribune, Kraft Foods, Melita, L'Oréal, RATP, Sanofi-Synthelabo, Shaman Pharmaceuticals, Thales.

Booking Us

If you're interested in hiring the Improfessionals for corporate training, please contact us for all questions concerning the training itself, so we can adapt the workshops to your needs.

Once we know what you want, we'll put you in touch with an appropriate training partner to sort out all the practical details concerning the organisation.

Teambuilding

Collaboration is inherent in what we do. Good teamwork is the very basis of improvisational theatre.

Without a high level of cooperation we could not create scenes and stories together on the spur of the moment.

We need to be there for each other when we throw ourselves into the unknown.

The thrill and sheer joy of improvisation brings out the best in people - and it brings them together.

Give us a few hours and we'll teach any group how to cooperate successfully.

Creativity

Here's our secret: we don't make a fuss about it.

An improviser on stage is - has to be! - constantly creative. Creativity becomes the norm. We even consider it banal.

It comes easy to us because we relax and don't force ourselves to be good, clever or original.

It's only when you don't have to prove yourself, and you let yourself enjoy the process of creation, that new ideas abound.

We are experts in creating the necessary conditions for you to imagine fearlessly.

And once you've experienced this with us, you can do it for yourself - and for others.

Presentation Skills

Granted, formal presentations do not allow for the same theatrical extravagances as an improvised show.

But that's not a reason why you shouldn't be an inspiring and charming presence on stage - because that's exactly where you are when you make a presentation.

Contrary to conventional theatre (and a lot of impro too, by the way), we don't cut ourselves off from the audience by an imaginary "fourth wall" between us and them.

We're not only on stage for our audience, but we acknowledge their presence. It's our job to keep them interested, happy - and awake!

How many presenters have you seen looking slightly ill or like they had just received news of death and horror?

How many have you seen who never even looked in your direction, but seemed to care more about the walls or the floor of the room you were in?

- Well, you probably already know all the Do's and Don'ts...

In our workshops we teach you how to be at ease and feel good in front of an audience; how to connect with them. Because that's when they will start listening to you - not only struggling to grasp the information you're giving them. That's when they become your audience.
